It&#8217;s a surprisingly fresh take on an EV giving an old classic look to the new technology. Instead of creating some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mTLQeVVrklU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stupid future concept car weird-mobile<\/a> they have used the old design and just made it electric.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-913 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-House-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Jaguar E-type Zero\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-House-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-House-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-House-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-House.jpg 1124w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The result is a fantastic, timeless design that does 0-100 km\/h in 5.5 seconds with 220 kW of power!<\/p>\n<p>This is, what I believe, all car manufacturers should essentially be doing. Take their existing cars and simply make them electric. There&#8217;s no need to add <a href=\"https:\/\/i.kinja-img.com\/gawker-media\/image\/upload\/s--P4cP5Iyt--\/c_scale,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800\/nxquq92jyictuetmwfxv.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">yellow<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/dynimages.themotorreport.com.au\/iJvRLMQXz4IYhlzePJsH2u0nSoQ=\/fit-in\/800x600\/filters:stretch(FFFFFF)\/editorial\/articleLeadwide-volkswagen-id-conceptgrqvcq.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blue neon&#8217;s<\/a>, completely change the design to be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogcdn.com\/www.autoblog.com\/media\/2010\/07\/01nissanleaf2011fd.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bubbly or boxy<\/a>. Just take the same old Golf or Fiat 500 or BMW 3 Series and swap out the engine for a motor. They should be completely reworking their interiors but the exterior of traditional cars is generally very good.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Jaguar E-type Zero comes with a 40 kWh battery and can be fully charged in six to seven hours. Currently the\u00a0Jaguar E-type Zero isn&#8217;t being announced for sale. It&#8217;s not quite a concept but also not a legitimate product just yet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-914\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-On-Road-1024x339.jpg\" alt=\"Jaguar E-type Zero\" width=\"750\" height=\"248\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-On-Road-1024x339.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-On-Road-300x99.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-On-Road-768x254.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/E-type-Zero-On-Road.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It looks like they&#8217;re simply testing the waters a bit. It&#8217;s possible the crowd might revolt if they see\u00a0Jaguar retrofitting classics like this but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/08\/world-to-ban-fossil-fuel-cars\/\">with the world banning fossil fuel cars<\/a> they may have no choice soon.<\/p>\n<h3>Jaguar Going All Electric<\/h3>\n<p>Beyond the\u00a0Jaguar E-type Zero they also joined the growing chorus of manufacturers promising to go all electric.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>From 2020 onward, all of our cars will be electrified. However these will be plug in hybrids or mild hybrids.
