Now we&#8217;ve been on many holidays and don&#8217;t usually focus on foods too heavily. However desserts as well as other certain meals do still hold a special place in both our hearts. Whilst the pastry is cinnamon flavoured the centre is filled with what can only be described as chocolate icing. It can be a bit intense if you eat an entire mouthful of it. So I&#8217;d suggest spreading it out a bit over the whole scroll. Multiplied by 6 (as it&#8217;s a roll of about 6 standard doughnuts not just one). Then add your favourite thing in there like cream, ice cream, Nutella, nuts or even all of them together. Now I know the photo below might not\u00a0<em><strong>look <\/strong><\/em>like\u00a0anything special but I assure you it is. It was one of the best schnitzels I&#8217;ve ever eaten (and I&#8217;ve eaten many). Add to this that both those plates are 1 meal&#8230; that cost just $11 AUD. The chips were 100% spot on. The schnitzel was so good it didn&#8217;t even\u00a0<em><strong>need\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>a sauce or anything, I just ate it completely plain. We then came back the next day and ordered the same things again. If you&#8217;re ever in Vienna do stop by and grab one at <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/rskhnzxyQhw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Der Mann der verw\u00f6hnt<\/a>, however pretty much\u00a0<em><strong>any\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>schnitzel we had in Vienna was amazing.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_126\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-126\" class=\"size-large wp-image-126\" src=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_20161003_152656-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_20161003_152656-1024x766.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_20161003_152656-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_20161003_152656-768x574.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.alexshoolman.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_20161003_152656.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-126\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Vienna Schnitzel<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brussels has an amazing smell about a lot of the city which can only be described as a combination of sugar, chips, chocolate and pastries. Needless to say it&#8217;s very tempting! One of the many great things there were their quite unique meringues. Usually they looks <a href=\"http:\/\/assets.epicurious.com\/photos\/57b33729df05218810c52121\/master\/pass\/meringues.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">small and unimpressive<\/a>\u00a0but the ones in Brussels come in all sorts of flavors, shapes and sizes. We didn&#8217;t know it until we got there, but Sweden people\u00a0<em><strong>love\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>their sweets. They even have a designated day called\u00a0L\u00f6rdagsgodis which translates to &#8220;Saturday&#8217;s Candies&#8221;. Now I&#8217;ve eaten my fair share of meatballs in the past but these were quite unique. These are apparently\u00a0the absolute <em><strong>best<\/strong><\/em> traditional candy my wife has ever tasted in her life.
